POP (Planning, Organizing & Packing)
I spent hours in our current storage this week: organizing, inventorying, moving things around. Preparing for this weekend’s “Haul-Away” Event in our building. I donated several more boxes, and threw things away. Hard decisions.
We are going to pay for storage this first year, and probably for the rest of our lives. Or at least until our kids turn 40 and must pilgrimage to the storage facility to reclaim the treasures and relics of their youth. Just like we did. Adulting 101 rite of passage. Too much stuff.
Financial Organization
I finished the taxes last week — yay!!!
There are several Levels of Hell with this particular quest. We want to be as meticulous as possible in getting our financial lives settled to live on the road full-time in an RV.
There’s a lot to consider, which should be the topic of an entire article, on its own.
More to come.
Medical Prep For Full-Time RV Life
Of course, we made appointments for post-pandemic visits with our dentist and primary care physicians.
That all resulted in… more appointments! And several unpleasant medical procedures.
One of my doctors asked me if we could postpone our full-time RV launch date “to take care of this concern.” Which will require six or more weeks of post-op recovery and follow-up.
Prince Charming’s response: “Don’t you think you’d be more comfortable recovering in the rig?”
He’s right. We have a much more comfortable king-size bed in the RV, versus a less comfortable queen-size bed in the condo.
TBD. 51 days.
